Everyday life of the military

This section contains information about military life during the state of war. Below you will find information about the simple things that are required at the front

The Ukrainian soldiers do all they can to protect our country. In addition to the fact that they are in constant danger at the front, in most cases, they are also deprived of the most basic necessities. That is why everything that can at least partially improve their sleep, ensure proper nutrition, and create more favorable conditions is extremely important.

One of the main factors that influence the effectiveness of the military at the front is healthy sleep. Sleep disturbances due to stressful conditions and an unfavorable environment have a negative impact on the physical and psychological state, and this, in turn, can reduce the level of attention and concentration, and increase the risk of making fatal mistakes.

Therefore, in the subcategory “Sleep, warmth and comfort,” we pay a lot of attention to sleeping bags and sleeping mats – the two main items necessary to arrange a place for sleeping in the field.

In this subcategory, you will find all the necessary information about heating dugouts with a potbelly stove and individual warming with heaters (heating pads). In the cold season, the issue of heating is more pressing than ever because cold can cause illness and even death from hypothermia.

The second sub-category, “Food and water”, does not refer to food products themselves because providing soldiers with food in adequate quantities is one of the main priorities of the Armed Forces. We are letting you know how to improve the feeding conditions of the military by providing them with flasks and dishes that are more convenient than regular ones, as well as advising you on which gas burners are better to provide to the soldiers for cooking in the frontline conditions.

The third sub-category “Electricity and Lighting” is devoted to the means by which servicemen can receive electrical energy in the absence of a power grid and also have a certain amount of it with them through portable batteries and charging stations. This is particularly important because the effectiveness of the military depends on a large number of devices such as radios, drones, NVDs (Night Vision Devices), etc.

In this subcategory, we have also collected useful information about lighting. There is no light other than natural light in the area of fighting, so flashlights are a critical item. We talk about both individual flashlights for domestic and tactical use, as well as lanterns aimed to illuminate rooms and dugouts.

The last subcategory is dedicated to tools that the military will require on the front, from shovels and axes to multi-purpose tools. We also provide a list of small items that can be very useful for the soldiers there.
