The front is an extremely exhausting environment. Constant emotional stress, the hard labor of digging fortifications, and direct military operations require superhuman efforts from the soldiers. That is why military should always be well-fed and hydrated; this gives him/her the necessary energy, which allows them to perform combat missions more efficiently and increases the chances of survival.
This section is dedicated to food and water on the frontlines.
It is essential to realize that situations where each fighter cooks his own food are quite rare. Food is usually prepared for the whole squad at the same time. This saves fuel and time.
In front-line conditions food is usually cooked on gas. It is smokeless, lightweight and highly energy efficient. Therefore, a whole article in this section is devoted to gas burners and stoves. Here we explain the main specifications and guidelines which will help you make the best choice when selecting appliances.
The other two articles are devoted to tableware. The flask is a top-priority item. Intended for individual use for each soldier, it is used for carrying drinking water around. Due to the fact that soldiers on the front do not always have access to sources of drinking water, it is critical to have their own supply of water, especially during the hot season when it is a matter of survival. Although the flask is given to each military along with other equipment, in some cases alternative, lighter or bulkier options are required. We consider the selection criteria in the article on flasks.
The last article in this chapter is devoted to a set of tableware for the military. In front-line conditions, when soldiers may not know where and when they will eat next time, a set of tableware should be portable and adapted not only for food consumption, but also for cooking.
