Flasks and Hydrators

In frontline conditions, a flask is an extremely useful item. Unlike civilians, military personnel do not have access to drinking water at any time, so they must carry it with them.

The easiest solution for this issue is army flasks. They are stronger than regular bottles and designed for multiple uses. American-style flasks are now used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are made of durable and light plastic and come in a case that allows you to attach the flask to a backpack or plate carrier.

Although this is a good option, it is better to use folding flasks for long raids or hikes. They are often not as durable and comfortable to use but have a flexible shape and rather low weight, which allows the soldiers to save room in a backpack or a trunk.

A relatively new invention is the so-called hydrators (hydration packs), or camelbacks. They consist of a small backpack, a plastic container with water and a drinking tube with a valve. Such an arrangement allows you to drink water even if your hands are occupied with a weapon. Proper hydration packs can be attached to the backpack to distribute weight and water pressure evenly.

We recommend reliable hydration systems from the company Camelbak.

Flasks of the Vapur company are sold in many countries, but the HydroPak brand is more common in Ukraine.
