A military helmet is a mandatory component of combat equipment.
Modern military protective helmets are a mandatory element of the Armed Forces protective equipment, designed to protect the head from blast waves (falls and impacts), fragments, bullets, and ricochets. Only high-quality helmets with a high level of protection should be chosen – they can save a soldier’s life during a combat mission.
They can be used by infantry, heavy weapons, and assault brigades. Compliance with NATO standards and a high level of protection make the product effective even in the most extreme conditions.
Modern helmets are not made of steel. As a rule, hardened plastic is used for the top layer, which protects the internal ballistic fibers from damage. The inner part of the shell consists of several layers of ballistic fiber material (aramid fabric impregnated with resin). In older models, this was Kevlar (aramid), while the latest helmets use UHMWPE.
Helmets must have a stable design, but at the same time provide comfort in any weather: heat, rain, frost, and have the following features:
- Light weight. On average, a military helmet weighs up to 1.5 kg, which guarantees comfortable wearing.
- Comfortable shape. The presence of soft inserts that prevents direct contact of the skin with the helmet material and promotes ventilation.
- Several size options. You need to choose the model that will be most comfortable.
- Adjustable buckle that can be quickly unfastened and removed as needed. The adjustable buckle allows you to choose the optimal position.
- Certificate issued by the Ballistic Testing Laboratory, which guarantees reliability.
- A modular memory panel that makes wearing the helmet as comfortable as possible – the helmet “adapts” to the wearer individually.
- Protection level 3A.
Before buying military helmets, you should understand what they are for and how to choose the most comfortable model.
