A head cover is an element of an army uniform used by the military for comfort and protection of the head from external weather and climatic factors. It is an indispensable attribute in the summer because it protects the head from strong solar radiation and prevents dizziness and loss of consciousness. It is also necessary in the winter because it keeps the head and ears warm, which is especially important when the military is outdoors around the clock.
When choosing a headgear for the military, we pay attention to the following criteria:
- Product material. This criterion is the main factor that affects comfort when wearing military headgear. The fabric should allow the head to “breathe”, should not cause irritation, be practical in use and should last a long time.
- Size. This criterion directly affects whether the headdress you ordered will fit your fighter because, for example, a bucket hat should neither press the head, nor leave extra room. The headgear should fit the head snuggly and at the same time should not cause discomfort. That is why it is important to know the exact size of the serviceman’s head.
Typically, headgear sizes vary in terms of head circumference parameter (in centimeters). There is also a Western-style size guide, where sizes vary in classic categories (S, M, L… etc.). It is still important to find out the measurements of the head covering in centimeters before purchasing.
