The combat shirt (Ubacs) is a component of summer clothing for soldiers and officers. It is worn under body armor and Load Bearing Equipment during the hottest periods of the year. It is a combination of lightweight, high-quality materials and technological fabrics that provide maximum comfort in the field in summer.
Technically, the product is a symbiosis of lightweight mesh fabric on the torso and back, which provides ventilation in hot conditions, and predominantly cotton fabric on the sleeves. Compared to conventional tunic jackets made from cotton fabrics, the synthetic mesh fabric of the Ubacs offers greater moisture wicking and ventilation to the body, while the tunic retains all moisture for a long time. The same indicator is important in the rain: the Ubacs will dry much faster than a regular tunic. One of the important advantages of the summer combat shirt is its maximum elasticity (it is very easy to pull on the body, fits very tightly and is very comfortable, is not too tight on the torso and does not restrict movement) and lightweight (this is especially important because any excess weight of equipment is felt when performing combat missions in the field).
The combat shirt does not have a central fastener along the product, but only a short zipper running from the chest to the collar. This makes it convenient to wear the shirt in combination with other components of combat gear. The sleeves also have additional zip pockets for quick access. Some models of the Ubacs have special elbow reinforcements sewn in, which increases the comfort and durability of the product.
As for the colors, the combat shirt usually has a monochrome on the body (tactical colors such as olive, coyote, khaki) and camouflage colors on the sleeves (MM14, MTR, varan, flecktarn).
The sizes of the Ubacs are usually identical to regular tunic jackets, so having the soldier’s measurements with you, it will not be a problem to choose the right size combat shirt for him.
The main brands of combat shirts: M-Tac, Helicon, Mil-tec. Also quite popular are the statutory uniforms of the British Armed Forces.
