A trunk bag is a convenient, functional, and voluminous item of equipment designed for storing and transporting personal belongings of a serviceman. Due to the large main compartment (80-120 liters) and the cylindrical shape, you can easily fit a sleeping bag, a set of winter clothes, a change of shoes, etc. into the trunk backpack. At the same time, all the necessary items are easy to access although they are put into one shared compartment.
Usually, a military trunk backpack does not have additional pockets and extra design elements. This significantly reduces its price compared to an army backpack of similar volume. In addition, the simple design affects the net weight of a trunk backpack; it does not exceed 1-1.5 kg.
Typically, an army trunk backpack is designed for a vertical loading method and is closed with a rope on the eyelets or a valve on the carabiner. There are models in which the army bag has a long zipper on the outer surface. A good design solution is when the zipper is covered with a Velcro flap; this allows you to protect the contents from dirt and moisture properly.
Military trunk backpacks are made of polyester, Oxford 600D material, Cordura, or dense cotton.
