Underwear is an element of army clothing; it is indispensable for every military, regardless of the type of troops, the nature of the tasks, etc., but various types of army underwear are used differently, depending on the nature of the tasks and weather conditions.
The types of this category of military clothing are:
- Underpants (trunks, boxershorts) and underwear (undergarments)
- Summer and winter (trekking) socks
- Active thermal underwear
- Passive thermal underwear
The components of these categories are different due to their specifics, but the main criteria for the selection of these things are the same:
- High-tech manufacturing. Each type of underwear has its specific purpose and function. For example, passive thermal underwear should constantly warm the serviceman’s body and keep it warm due to the specificity of its fabric, and trekking socks and summer socks should remove moisture to prevent sweating and should not provoke negative health consequences in the summer. Therefore, it is important that each of the declared functions fully justify its properties.
- Comfort. When using each type of army underwear, a military must feel maximum comfort, because in field conditions he/she does not have the opportunity to change something, adjust it, etc. If some discomfort occurs (for example, the thermal underwear is tight in the armpits), the soldier begins to think not only about the task performance, but about some inconvenience caused by the clothing; therefore, our goal is to save him from discomfort as much as possible.
- The need to choose the right size is related to the second criterion. When buying military underwear, always pay attention to the size guide of a particular item, considering the soldier’s measurements. For trekking socks, they can be the size of the foot (foot length in centimeters), and for thermal underwear, it is an indicator of chest or waist circumference, so it is essential to know the parameters of the military beforehand.
