The grenade pouch must have a closure to prevent accidental falling out of the grenade. It is fixed with Velcro or a fastener to ensure a secure hold, but at the same time it can be easily accessible with one hand. The grenade pouch can be equipped with a fuse hole or a flap. Sometimes a rubber loop is used to secure the grenade.
The pouch has elastic bands on both sides to ensure that the grenade is securely fastened. The best material is Cordura 500 D – 1000 D. The Molly system allows the pouch to be attached to any load-bearing system in a place convenient for the soldier.
The pouch also has an eyelet for water drainage.
