The main purpose of the pouch is to protect the tourniquet from external factors (snow, water, dirt). Pouches for tourniquets come with or without closure. They are designed in such a way as to provide quick access to the tourniquet with one-hand movement. It is important to note that the tourniquet must be folded into a ready-to-use status in advance.
A pouch without closure is made out of Cordura 500 D fabric or out of thick belt tape. A pouch with closure is distinguished by the fact that it protects the tourniquet from all sides. Most often, it is opened with Velcro and fixed with a Molly system to both a vest or an unloading vest.
The pouch can also be equipped with additional pockets for scissors and a marker. The pouch can be placed both vertically and horizontally.
