This model was originally designed for British paratroopers who performed their duties in desert and mountainous terrain, and this led to some peculiarities in the choice of materials. The upper is made of durable nubuck with special impregnation. Auxiliary and ventilation inserts are made of Cordura. The toe is reinforced with a rubber pad, the back is reinforced with a Cambrelle® pad. The lining is made of synthetic material 3D Mesh. This is not a membrane since membrane materials are not known to be effective in high temperatures. The comfort temperature range for these boots is quite wide: from -10°C to +50°C.
The high tongue provides tighter lacing and protection against dirt penetration. The innovative ventilation system removes excess moisture and ensures comfort even in the heat. A fabric insert in the Achilles tendon area provides additional comfort while moving and extends the life of the boot. Lacing up the shoes is quick and easy thanks to the convenient lacing system with closed metal hooks.
The outsole is a two-component outsole made by Vibram®, the leader in the industry. The midsole is made of polyurethane and provides cushioning and stabilization. Medium-height rubber tread, oil-resistant. The insole is removable, provides cushioning, ventilation of the foot, and insulates the foot from high surface temperatures.
