The Chersel load-bearing equipment consists of a tactical waist belt and shoulder straps. It is designed to relieve the shoulders and spine by transferring weight to the legs. The majority of the ammunition package (AP) is equipped with body armor and the LBE unloading system.
Features of the Chersel load-bearing equipment:
- a rigid frame that prevents the belt from twisting under load;
- anatomical shape and a quick-tightening system, which together allow the use of the LBE without a shoulder system (the entire load is transferred from the back to the pelvis);
- equipped with a mesh that provides ventilation and a soft fit, additionally equipped with a two-layer base. The second layer is made up of pads that create ventilation channels to remove heat from the body and provide more comfortable use;
- the ability to additionally install ballistic protection against fragments (ballistic package) in the belt;
- is equipped with straps made of a 50 mm belt sling.
The soldiers appreciated the ergonomic fit, which allows them to use the LBE without a shoulder system, and the front cut-outs in the LBE, which allow them to bend over and crouch without restricting their movement, which is very important for shooters. The main pouches that should be equipped with the rifleman’s LBE are:
- 4 pouches for AK/AR magazines;
- 2 grenade pouches;
- a pouch for a radio;
- a drop bag;
- small cargo pouch;
- pharmacy pouch;
- a pouch for a tourniquet.
